There will be a Limited edition for BF3.
The Limited Edition includes the DLC pack Battlefield 3: Back to Karkand.
This DLC pack will give you the following 4 maps:
Wake Island, Strike at Karkand, Gulf of Oman , Sharqi Peninsula.
They are all remastered Battlefield 2 maps.
The limited edition varies into three different types, Physical Warfare, SPE-TAC and Dog Tags.
Physical Warfare Pack:
This is a pack contain 2 guns,the DAO-12 shotgun (Unlockable) and TYPE 88 LMG.(Exclusive)
Also included is Flechette ammo (DAO-12) and a Flash Suppressor (SKS Sniper)[Both Exclusive]
Available via pre-order of limited edition from either Game, Gamestation or Gamestop.
The Physical Warfare Pack has been confirmed to be available for purchase at an unannounced time in the future.
SPEC-TAC Pack:
Gives you 8 exclusive skins, 4 for the United States and 4 for Russia.
It is only available through pre-ordering the game from Amazon.
They will more than likely be available for purchase at a later date.
Dog Tag Pack:
Gives you 5 exclusive Dog Tags for use in the game.
It is available from pre-ordering the game from Play.com or Bestbuy.com.
They will more than likely be available for purchase at a later date.
The Beta:
The Beta for Battlefield 3 opened for the MoH LE / T1 owners on the 27th of September, 2011 and for the Public on the 29th of September 2011.
The two sides available in the Beta were the United States and Russia, as in previous games.
The Battlefield 3 beta featured the Operation Metro map for all participants, while the PC testers got access to Caspian Border on the closing weekend of the beta. The beta closed on the 10th of October, 2011.
